Please read these General Rental Terms and Conditions carefully before renting a vehicle. These terms define the rights and obligations between SAR Rent a Car Sarajevo Airport and the vehicle renter. SAR Rent a Car Sarajevo Airport is a brand owned by Experience Logistic – doživi podršku d.o.o., which is the legal entity responsible for all operational and legal obligations related to vehicle rental services.
1. Agreement
The vehicle rental agreement is concluded between SAR Rent a Car Sarajevo Airport and the renter. By signing the agreement, the renter confirms acceptance of all General Rental Terms and Conditions. The agreement includes the vehicle rental contract, General Rental Terms and Conditions, vehicle condition report, and any additional reservation terms. The renter is obligated to carefully review all documentation prior to signing the agreement.
2. Vehicle Rental Requirements
To rent a vehicle, the renter must possess a valid driver's license held for a minimum of two years, a valid passport or ID card, and a valid credit or debit card, while also meeting the minimum age requirement for vehicle rental. SAR Rent a Car Sarajevo Airport reserves the right to refuse a rental without additional explanation.
3. Security Verification
Upon vehicle collection, a security verification process will be conducted, including verification of identity, driver's license, and payment method. The company reserves the right to perform a pre-authorization of funds, refuse vehicle delivery, or request additional documentation.
4. Pricing
Rental prices depend on the rental period, vehicle category, pickup location, and any additional services or equipment. The renter is obligated to pay all additional costs in accordance with the valid price list of SAR Rent a Car Sarajevo Airport.
5. Vehicle Collection
The vehicle must be collected at the agreed location and at the agreed time. The renter is required to present original documents, a valid driver's license, and a payment card.
6. Vehicle Condition and Inspection Upon Collection
The renter confirms that the vehicle was received clean, technically roadworthy, and without any undocumented damage. A detailed inspection of the vehicle before leaving the pickup location is strongly recommended.
7. During the Rental Period
The renter is obligated to use the vehicle responsibly, comply with traffic regulations, use the appropriate fuel, and keep the vehicle locked when not in use. It is strictly prohibited to hand over the vehicle to third parties, use the vehicle for illegal purposes, or use it for racing or driver training activities.
8. Extension of the Agreement
An extension of the rental period is possible only with prior approval from SAR Rent a Car Sarajevo Airport. In the event of an unauthorized delay, an additional rental day will be charged and the company may apply additional administrative fees.
9. Damage, Loss, or Theft
The renter is responsible for any loss, damage, or theft caused by negligence, improper use of the vehicle, or violation of the agreement and General Rental Terms and Conditions. The renter is obligated to compensate the full amount of the damage, including repair costs, loss of profit, and all related expenses up to the full value of the vehicle, unless additional coverage or insurance has been agreed upon in accordance with the company's valid price list.
10. Speeding, Parking Fines, Traffic Violations, and Charges
All fines and penalties incurred during the rental period are the responsibility of the renter. The company reserves the right to charge the renter subsequently and apply administrative processing fees related to fines and penalties.
11. Vehicle Return
The vehicle must be returned to the agreed location, at the agreed time, together with all accompanying equipment and documentation.
12. Vehicle Condition and Inspection Upon Return
Upon completion of the rental period, a final vehicle inspection will be conducted to determine any new damage, deficiencies, as well as the condition of fuel and accompanying equipment.
13. Fuel Policy
The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at the time of collection. Otherwise, the renter will be charged for the missing fuel, with the possibility of an additional refueling service fee.
14. Additional Equipment
Additional equipment may include child seats and other available accessories. The availability of additional equipment depends on current availability and is subject to additional charges according to the valid price list.
15. Additional Services
Additional services may include an additional driver, vehicle delivery and collection, as well as cross-border travel authorization. All additional services are subject to availability and charged separately.
16. Additional Coverage and Protection
Additional coverage and protection options may reduce the renter's financial liability in the event of damage, theft, or an accident. Coverage terms are defined by the rental agreement and insurance policy.
17. Early Termination of the Agreement
In the event of an early vehicle return, no refund will be issued for unused rental days unless otherwise agreed between the renter and the company.
18. Use of Personal Data
The renter's personal data is used exclusively for the purpose of rental processing, reservation management, and administrative and legal obligations. All personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
19. Lost Property
The lessor shall not be held responsible for the loss of or damage to the renter's property or the property of other persons left inside the vehicle during the rental period. By signing the agreement, the renter expressly waives any claim for compensation against the lessor in the event of loss or damage to personal belongings.
20. Vehicle Maintenance
The renter is obligated to use the vehicle with due care and responsibility, ensure that the vehicle is properly locked with all windows closed when unattended, and keep vehicle documents outside the vehicle at all times. During the rental period, the renter is required to regularly check engine and transmission oil levels, coolant, battery condition, and tire pressure. Engine oil replacement must be performed every 10,000 kilometers exclusively at the lessor's authorized service center. If the vehicle reaches the mileage scheduled for regular maintenance during the rental period, the renter is obligated to notify the lessor and deliver the vehicle to the lessor's authorized service center. The renter shall not bear the cost of regular maintenance performed outside the lessor's service center only if prior written approval has been obtained from the lessor and a valid service invoice is provided. Otherwise, the renter shall be responsible for all malfunctions and damages resulting from improper vehicle maintenance.
21. Payment
Vehicles are rented at daily rates in accordance with the valid price list, where one rental day represents a period of 24 hours from the moment the Rental Agreement is concluded. Payment may be made in convertible marks (BAM), by credit/debit card, or via bank transfer. In addition to the rental fee, the renter is obligated to cover all other costs arising in accordance with the General Rental Terms and Conditions. By signing the Agreement, the renter authorizes the lessor to charge the renter's credit card or any other payment method for all repair costs, damages, breakdowns, or losses identified within 48 hours after the vehicle return and not reported by the renter during the return procedure. The lessor is also authorized to charge all traffic violations, parking fines, and other penalties incurred during the rental period, including any applicable administrative processing fees. The security deposit amount is determined by the lessor. In the event of a dispute, the Municipal Court in Sarajevo shall have jurisdiction.
